Summer!
Becch class hopes that everybody has a wonderful summer holiday. See you all in September.
Europe Afternoon
This afternoon was the culmination of our Europe topic, therefore, we celebrated by having a Europe afternoon. We had a selection of foods from five European counties, including:
France
Spain
Greece
Germany
Italy
To begin with, we created our own paper 'Gondalas' and decorated Greek vases. Then we were ready to taste some food. We tried croissants, olives, German pretzels, French Brie, pizza and many more delicious foods.
The most popular European foods in Beech class were the Greek yoghurt, pizza, Black Forest Gateau and the French stick with Brie.
What is your favourite European food and do you know which country it originates from?

Discussion texts
For our new English topic, we are finding out about discussion texts and analysing the features. Today we thought of various topics we could have a discussion about.
We thought that we could discuss:
Should we have Olympic games?
Should homeless people be given homes?
Should you go to prison for speeding?
Should we have more school trips?
Should animals be kept in zoos?
Please comment below with your arguments for and against any of these topics!

English Role on the wall
We had a lovely time creating a 'role on the wall' based on Erik the Viking. We drew around a member of the group, then discussed words and phrases to describe Erik's personality and appearance and wrote these inside the body. Then we thought about how others would describe Erik; how they perceived him as a person, then recorded these outside the body.
