Castle setting descriptions!

Today we have been writing our descriptions of the castle in Epic Citadel, using our five senses, great descriptive language and also our 2A and BOYS sentences!

Here's some of our top sentences...

Josh L - The wind is blowing in gusts around the high turrets of the castle.

Dominic - The castle is shining like gold in a treasure chest.

Ellie - The dark, roaring waterfalls storm down the rocks.

Lily - The glowing lanterns are making the walls glow golden.

Jessie T - Red, shiny turrets point all the way to the dark sky, so you can't see the top.

Joe - There is a moat full of fresh, bitter water.

Paige - The soldier's tents are colourful like a rainbow in the bright, blue sky.

Ryan - In the glistening blue sky the birds chirp in the distance on the turrets.

Gracie - Everything is dark and a storm is.approaching. You are really small next to the tall castle.

Bonnie - The castle is towering over you like a blossoming tree.

Bethany - The fluffy, white clouds are in the sparkling sky.

Alex S - Through the arch is the marvellous church with an ancient statue and roasting fire.

Jessica W - The dusty walls are like rusty metal. Turrets are reaching up into the dark, stormy sky.

Honey - A golden coloured sun waking up in the morning, but as soon as possible the stormy, grey clouds as fluffy as cotton wool fly in above the village.

Tyler - The tree's shadows getting bigger and then smaller in the sunlight.

Liam - The hot crackle of the fire and the juicy hog roast of the mead hall.

Eva - The old, filthy burning fire glowing next to the scary shadows of the castle.

Josh S - Ivy is creeping up on the dark, gloomy walls of the castle gardens.

Rebecca - The gigantic castle is very ancient, but marvellous. It's an amazing castle to look at, yet it could fall easily.

Harrison - The lofty castle walls are stretching up to the glimmering, glowing stratosphere.

Leah - The market has a lovely smell of fragrant fruits: apple and melon, lime, grape and yummy lemons.

Daniel - The ancient waterfall, falling like a jet, thundering past the colossal, handsome castle.

Zane - The grey, slimy, terrifying walls are part of the gleaming castle. Under the castle, an ancient waterfall is flowing down.

Robbie - The turrets overlooking everyone in the town hiding and arching against the invaders.

Which is your favourite sentence? Can you think of any more? Leave a comment with one in it!
